Introduction

Application
Impact bed is widely used in various industries that need to convey lumpy and granular materials, such as mining, coal, harbor, electric power, cement and so on. Design

Single-layer
Some simple impact beds consist of only one layer of shock-absorbing material, directly installed under the conveyor belt to provide basic impact resistance. For example, in some small-scale conveying systems with low requirements for impact resistance, a single layer of rubber sheet can be used as an impact bed.
Multi-layer
Upper Layer - Contact Layer
Usually made of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW). It has a smooth surface with a low friction coefficient, which can reduce the friction between the conveyor belt and the impact bed, enabling the belt to slide smoothly and reducing wear7.
Middle Layer - Shock-absorbing Layer
Composed of high-elasticity special rubber. This layer is the core part for absorbing impact energy. When materials fall onto the conveyor belt, the rubber layer deforms elastically to absorb and disperse the impact force, protecting the conveyor belt from damage136.
Bottom Layer - Support Layer
It is generally made of metal materials such as aluminum or steel. It serves as a support and fixation for the entire impact bed, providing stability and strength. Some bottom layers are also equipped with installation rails or fixing holes for convenient installation and connection with the conveyor belt support structure.
